This is the best hummingbird food we have found so far. It contains no preservatives, artificial sweeteners or coloring. It is easily mixed with warm or cold tap water so no boiling is required. It contains very finely ground natural Sucrose the same sugar that makes up flower nectar.
Comes in: 8 ounce pouch that makes 48 ounces of hummingbird nectar or 24 ounce re-sealable jar makes 4.5 quarts of hummingbird nectar.

Easy Mix Clear Hummingbird Food
Note: Sucrose is the sugar found in Cane Sugar. It is not easily available in a very fine grind but bakers do use it. If you make your own nectar use white table sugar which is filtered of impurities that may make the nectar spoil faster. Use one cup sugar to four cups water and bring the water to a boil for the best mixing and further purification. Let cool, then fill feeder. Refrigerate unused nectar.
