Erva SB7 Wrap Around Squirrel Baffle for 4×4 Posts

Wraparound break-apart squirrel baffle, for a standard wood 4×4 post* (3-5/8″ x 3-5/8″). 22-1/2″ in diameter. To keep squirrels from getting onto your bird feeder, place your post-mounted feeders 8-10′ away from railings, roofs or trees. Squirrel baffles should be a minimum of 4′ from the ground to protect the bird feeder. To close your baffle, slide the left tab into the right slot until they snap together. Corrosion resistant screws are provided to attach the baffle to your post.

Mounting a squirrel baffle on your post prevents squirrels and small raccoons from climbing or jumping up to the bird feeder or house. Erva squirrel baffles are made entirely in the US. Erva Squirrel baffles are not mass market imports. All Erva Squirrel baffles are made with fully galvanized steel sheet purchased as excess to the auto industry in Detroit. This is the same galvanized steel used under the painted finish of new cars.

These painted Squirrel Baffles feature baked on, highly corrosion resistant coating that will maintain its good appearance for years. Simply hose off the baffle occasionally and it will look like new!

*About 4 x 4 sizing: Most lumber is sold in “nominal” (in name only) sizes such as 1 x 3, 2 x 4, and 4 x 4. But these sizes are not the actual dimensions of the wood, for example what we know as a 4 x 4’s dimension are closer to 3.5 x 3.5. The reason behind this is that when a 4 x 4 board is first rough sawed from a log, it is cut into a true 4 x 4. But though the drying process and planing of the board reduce it to the finished size of 3.5 x 3.5. All Erva 4 x 4 baffles accommodate this standard size. This is the typical size found at most home centers and lumber yards. Rough sawn true 4 x 4 posts are rare. Newer PVC posts also vary in size between 3.75 and 4 inches & only the white cylinder squirrel baffle model SB4ACT will fit these posts
