SUMMARY:Fire Ecology Walk in the Woods
DESCRIPTION:Learn why wildfire activity may actually decrease within the next decade\, why fires are currently more intense and widespread\,\nand how our forests have relied on fire to increase biodiversity for millennia. This easy and casual walk in the Ordson Todd Woods of\nAshland will include novel facts and uses of native plants\, and explain why Southwest Oregon is one of the most biodiverse places in North\nAmerica. The group will be lead by Naturalist Rudy Dietz\, and limited to 15 participants. Two dates offered Saturday October 19th or Saturday October 26th. 10 am – 11:30 am. $5 per participant
