SUMMARY:Ecological Monitoring Training
DESCRIPTION:Adopt a Botanical Area presents an ecological monitoring training with Jeanine Moy.\nWhat is happening in the most botanically special places of the Klamath-Siskiyou? What might the effects of a rapidly changing climate be on local plant communities? How has our changing relationship with the landscape impacted the types of vegetation we see today\, and in the future? \nKS Wild needs your help to answer these questions. By working together\, KS Wild will gather information about how our habitat is changing over time and be more prepared to address future concerns for our landscape. \nThis training will provide basic skills to read the forested landscape\, identify common plants\, rare species and invasive species. \nJoin KS Wild for a hands-on training event\, open to all – no background necessary. Seasoned and new Botanical Area volunteers encouraged to attend! \n9-2pm Meeting at the KS Wild office\, then field trip to Oredson Todd – dress appropriately for rain or shine! \nLunch provided\, bring a waterbottle\, snacks. \nContact Jeanine Moy of KS Wild 541-488-5789
