Focus: Ecology of a private property on the Rogue River
Description: Walk the oak woodlands, vernal pools and an impressive riparian forest along the Rogue River near Eagle Point with one of the most popular hike guides in our region, forest ecologist Dr. Tom Atzet. Southern Oregon Land Conservancy is pursuing an option to purchase this beautiful 352-acre property.
Limit: 20
Meeting Location: Meet in White City to carpool to the Preserve near Dodge Bridge County Park in Eagle Point. Exact meeting location and directions will be emailed upon registration.
Difficulty: Moderately easy and flat at a slow walking pace on roads, trails, and off-trail. Weed seeds and ticks may be present so long pants are advised. A portable toilet is available at the preserve.
