Guided Spring Wild Mushroom Walk – SOLD OUT

We are offering one more guided mushroom hike this Spring because our three others filled up so quickly.   Learn about our local wild mushrooms with local mushroom expert Mike Potts. The emphasis will be on finding fungi and learning something about identification and the diversity of mushroom species. Edible and poisonous varieties will be discussed.  Typically, mushrooms abound at this time of year.

Participants will meet at NW Nature Shop at 10 am and travel to the foraging location (approximately 45 minute drive from Ashland).  Return to Ashland by 3:00 pm.  The location of each hike will be disclosed at a later date to give us flexibility in planning around weather and mushroom abundance.

Cost is $50 per participant. Kids accompanied by an adult are free. Be prepared for adverse weather. Wear appropriate hiking shoes (We will be doing some off-trail walking on uneven terrain), bring a water bottle, lunch, pocket knife, non-plastic collecting bag, rain gear, a mushroom ID book if you have one, and a whistle.
