Fire on the Rocks! Hike

Join Lomakatsi Restoration Project Field Ecologist Lyndia Hammer and BLM Fire Ecologist Jena Volpe to explore a remarkable diversity of vegetation types and their relationship with fire. The Klamath Region has a long history with fire, which has been vital to wildlife, plants and people of the area. Table Rock offers a unique opportunity to investigate a variety of vegetation types of various structure and composition found around the Rogue valley. See examples of recent restoration work in shrublands, oak savannas, woodlands and a mixed conifer hardwood forest and learn about how this work might influence future fire relationships.
Hikes are FREE but reservations are required. To sign up online: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fire-on-the-rocks-registration-22177196592
For more information, call the Bureau of Land Management at 541.618.2200, M-F 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
