Learning to Look with Richard Crossley: Tips to better birding
December 1, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

World-renowned birder and bird guide author and photographer, Richard Crossley leads two birding sessions in North Mountain Park on Thursday December 1st at 10 am and Friday December 2nd at 10 am in Ashland to share his perspective on birding. His knowledge, enthusiasm and energy for birding will inspire and lead you to become a better and more independent birder. Crossley believes as you shift your focus to look at birds longer, closer, and from a broader perspective than is typical, a new world of discovery opens up. The Thursday program is for those who want to learn helpful hints on how to identify birds, observe interesting behaviors, and discover identification tricks of the birding trade with Richard. The Friday workshop is for those who want to learn Crossley’s unique and innovative photography style to capture images showing birds in a wide range of views — near and far, from different angles, in various behaviors, including flight, and in the habitat in which they live.
Come experience bird watching as an open door into the natural world and connect with nature for your overall well-being. Cost is $25 per person per workshop. Each workshop is approx. 1 ½ hours. Sign up for one or both.
